Robert Adzema. Autumn Sunset, Todd Hill. Even if you cannot personally ramble around the seductive byways of Northwest Connecticut, there are plenty of painters ready to take you there. At the latest art show at the United Church of Christ in Cornwall, Connecticut, you can see watercolors, pastels and acrylics by three talented local artists. The plein air painter Robert Adzema handles watercolor with grace, floating colors to the edge and finding delicate textures for landscapes in all seasons. I especially appreciated the severity of his bare branches and trunks slashing through the foreground of a muted mountain backdrop.
